Full Job Description
Our client are one of Europe’s leading printers. An innovative company who are offering a totally new way of sourcing and managing print and communications, and the processes around it. They have an excellent opportunity to join their team initially on a temporary basis although this could lead to a permanent job for the right person.
Main Purpose of Job
To work as an integral part of the Production Planning team, to provide a production schedule for the Print and Bindery activity maintaining full utilisation whilst maintaining delivery requirements.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Production Scheduling – prepare and maintain short and long term production plan/schedule for the Print and Bindery activity maintaining full utilisation whilst maintaining delivery requirements.
2. Monitoring Performance – monitor activity against plan.
3. Change Management – manage changing requirement.
4. Cost Control – to work within the cost structure detailed within estimates, targeting savings and controlling overtime costs.
5. Communication – to liaise with all interacting parties, ensuring the communication of progress, change and schedules.
Person Spec
No specific Production Planning experience necessary although a background in manufacturing is very advantageous. A keenness to learn production planning and a desire to achieve results in this field is essential. You must be very well organised, have good PC skills (Especially MS Excel), a good head for numbers and a great eye for detail.
